Question

I would like to install a H2O kinetic showerhead on the ceiling for height reasons. Will it function like it would mounted from the wall?

I would like to install the showerhead from Delta T17238-SSH2O Lahara Monitor 17 Series Shower Trim on the ceiling. Will it still function like it would mounted on the wall? or will gravity coming from a different direction mess with how it works. What does the H2O kinetic showerhead streams look like at low, med, and high volume? Is there a video of it? Is there a video of the H2O kinetic coming from the ceiling.

Thank you for your question. The H2O kinetic showerheads are not dependent on gravity so it will not make a difference if it is mounted on the wall or from the ceiling.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model T17455 contains a cartridge that will have seats and springs in the end of the valve assembly. If you just need to replace the quad seals and springs, you can order Delta Faucet model # RP46073. If the cartridge also needs replaced, then order RP46463. Thank you for your question. To replace the seats and springs, please make sure that the water is off first. If you have one or two handles, the seats and springs are located underneath the handles. Remove the handle by loosening the set screw with a 3/32 allen wrench. Remove the bonnet nut and take out the ball assembly or cartridge. The seats and springs are underneath.

Make sure you put everything back the same way it came out or it will not function properly.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # R10000-UNBX will work with your thicker wall because our valves are installed to be flush with the finished wall so it does not matter how thick your wall is.

Thank you for your question. When you remove the spout on your roman tub, check to see if there is an anti-swivel pin underneath. If there is not, then you can replace your spout and handles with any of our roman tub trim offerings.

If the pin is there, then you can only replace the spout and handles with the T2710 model which is only available in chrome.

Question

removal of old delta kitchen faucet

I'm replacing a 16 yr old delta kitchen faucet, single handle and the water comes out a separate goose neck that is attached under the sink. I need to know if the attachment nut is a right handed or left handed thread to get it off? Also the mixing valve/on off handle assembly has a C shape bracket under the sink holding it on, does this just slide off? I usually install my own stuff and save the manuals, but the contractor installed itwhen I built and threw away the manuals. I tried to send you pictures, but no matter what size I used, it was either not wide enough or tall enough.

Thank you for your question. Roman tub faucets can be interchanged with new trims as long as you do not have a swivel pin underneath your spout or if you have a set screw on the front of your spout. After you remove the set screw from the back, the spout should just lift off. You will be able to see if there is a swivel pin underneath.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 3575-MPU-DST does have a suggested hole size of 1 1/16" to 1 1/2" but we do not have an ideal hole size that we recommend in between those lengths. The best thing to do is wait until you have the faucet in hand to do the drilling.

Hi Fdepass,

The hole size for the soap dispenser is 1 1/16". The holes size for the spout is 1 3/8". There really isn't a recommended distance from the holes to the edge of the sink. It depends on how much space you have to work with and how big the sink is. Please keep in mind that the reach of the spout is 9 5/16".

Hi Kathy,

I am sorry to hear about the trouble that you are having with your faucet.

It sounds like you are experiencing cross flow. This is typically caused by something in your household plumbing allowing hot water to pass through to the cold supply.

Thank you for your question. Based on your description and if you use a thermostatic trim like in the 17T series faucet, you will get 7.3 gpm at 60 psi out of your valve. Delta Faucet model # 50001 flows 1.6 gpm and Delta Faucet model # 54713 flows at 2.5 gpm. So if you use the handshower with the jets, you will be at 7.3 gpm.
